Ron Gerard

MASON CITY — Funeral services for former Mason City resident Ronald E. Gerard, 40, of Willmar, Minn., will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Tripolis Lutheran Church in Willmar.

Mr. Gerard died Friday (Sept. 28, 1984) at a hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born Oct. 17, 1943, and graduated from Mason CIty High School, Mason City Junior College and the University of Northern Iowa.  He had taught science and coached several sports at Willmar Junior High.

He is survived by his wife, Kristen, and a son, Joshua, both of Willmar; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.L. Gerard of 1307 N. Jefferson, Mason City; and two sisters, Patricia Schiff, Oswego, Ill., and Vicky Elwood of Corwith.

The family suggests memorial be sent to "Those Who Wait," Sharon Community Presbyterian Church, 522 Carnat Road, Coraopolis, Pa., 15108.
