George Burmeister

MASON CITY — George Burmeister, former Mason City resident, passed away Feb. 2, 2012, at Icon Hospital in Humble, Texas.
 
George was a former Globe Gazette employee after his graduation from Mason City High School in 1962. His recent employers were Executive Security of Houston, Texas.
 
He is survived by his children: William Burmeister of Pasedena, Texas; Lt. Shawn Burmeister of the U.S. Navy, Virginia Beach, Va.; and Ashley Burmeister of Porter, Texas; his sister, Louise Enright of Fairbault, Minn.; and six grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by his wife, Carolyn (Snyder) Burmeister; his parents; Bill and Alma Burmeister; and in-laws Alton and Virginia Snyder, all of Mason City.

A Memorial Service will be planned in Mason City at a later date.
